Back when I asked y'all for purse profile ideas, I heard from a customer whose lovely, wonderful sister had just passed away, suddenly. She wrote a brief description of this special lady and of course she has become a clutch! Her family has chosen this gorgeous print as a representation of Lara's spirit and we're so honored to pay tribute to her.
Meet Lara. She began her personal style journey a bit questionably– flannel, Doc Martens, dark eye makeup, perhaps in an attempt to find her very own Sk8r Boi (it’s ok Lara – you are one of the miraculous souls to escape their Avril Lavigne phase. Not all were so fortunate and some still roam the streets secretly – why does everything have to be so complicated??). Lara would inevitably triumph over her baser grungy instincts to build a career upon her unique ability to combine irreverence with impeccable style. Somehow, she knew just how to splash up an outfit into enviable status without an ounce of basic. Lara knew who she was, and that self-assurance was infectious. It was evident through her humor - as dry as her favorite Canadian ginger ale - and her sartorial gifts. Her mere presence was an assurance to those around her, even for her care givers as she sought to lighten their loads and moods while tending to her in her last days. The way she could maintain her perspective and composure even during the scariest moments was remarkable. Although her life wasn’t nearly long enough, she made the most of the one she had. Lara had the great ability to see how to enhance what she was given. Her professional focus on accessories seemed such a natural extension to her personality and outlook on life. Take what you’re given, and add splashes of more – a puppy, trips, experiences, great shoes, unexpected jokes. If something needed to be said, Lara had the strength to say it, and usually in just the right way. If levity could be brought to a heavy situation, Lara’s impeccable timing delivered. She was competitive, vivacious, funny, stylish, calming, compassionate, loyal, and touched so many. She lives on in a hundred colorful ways.
