Meet Mary. She’s had many odd hobbies over the years. There was the time that she spent four months enthusiastically geocaching with an online group. Or the time she tried to put together a Quiddich team after watching Harry Potter. Mary has tried soap carving and beekeeping, but her latest hobby has really raised some eyebrows. She recently took up taxidermy. But not your average taxidermy – no dignified hunting trophies here. Mary just loves to taxidermy small animals in adorable human-like circumstances. Most recently she preserved a fat American Gray Squirrel wearing a cowboy hat, six gun holster and chaps. Prior to that was a skunk posed in a plie wearing a tutu and ballet shoes. Her gift to her husband on Father’s Day was an armadillo drinking a Corona Light, as it leaned on a little golf club. One foot crossed over the other. Mary’s family members have begun to fear birthdays and Christmases, as Mary has not yet mastered facial reconstruction. Last year’s lipless, extremely bug-eyed fox Christmas gift gave her 7 year old niece nightmares for three months. Never mind that it had on a bowler hat and a sequined leotard – an amazing homage to Taylor Swift. Mary will not lose interest in this new hobby any time soon. Stay tuned for an upcoming crow sporting a 1996 Olympic jumpsuit.
I could not be more in love with this print. We only have one for now, but more are coming! Grab her quickly! Also, check out some of the new hardware… 😉
