Meet Tabitha. She's decided to take up the banjo. Granted, she has no experience whatsoever with playing a musical instrument, but how hard could it be?? Tabitha loves the idea of being at a gathering of some sort, humbly chatting with people she's recently met - unassuming. Then someone (this could be her best friend, maybe her husband) would shout from across the room, "Tabitha! Play us something on the banjo!" Oh, Tabitha would demure. She would play bashful, vehemently shake her head that this is not the time and place, but of course everybody in the room would insist and begin playfully chanting her name. She would reluctantly break out her banjo and begin to pick the strings deftly. Everybody's eyebrows would shoot up. They would look at each other in amazement and the men would fall instantly in love with her. The women would be consumed with envy. Tabitha imagines her hair cascading down around the banjo (this may take 2 years to achieve or she'll need hair extensions). She'll need to have a tan and be wearing something youthful and floral. There is so much to do in preparation for this new persona, not the least of which is to purchase a banjo, followed by somehow learning how to play it. But Tabitha already sees herself as a hot, unexpected banjo player and it feels good. Maybe she'll even end up touring with the Avett Brothers?
